!Mediengruppe Bitnik, Fragmentin, Lauren Huret – Pax Art Awards 2018

Today: 12.00 PM - 6.00 PM

21 February 2019 - 21 April 2019

The winners of the Pax Art Awards 2018 will present new works. !Mediengruppe Bitnik has established itself as a major voice in media art in Switzerland. The group of artists articulates itself in a systematic and novel way by taking up relevant topics of public interest. Studio Fragmentin, with artists Laura Perrenoud, Marc Dubois, and David Colombini, explores the boundaries between the digital and the physical environment, calling our present age and the impacts of technology on everyday life in question. The works of Swiss media artist Lauren Huret examine the effects of media technologies on the individual as well as society. By awarding the pioneering prizes for digital art, the Art Foundation Pax in collaboration with HeK honors and supports media-specific practices of Swiss artists whose works use media technologies or reflect upon its effects.
